Anro builds structures for a solar thermal technology CSP ATACAMA 1.

Anro has hired and is already manufacturing and during Assembly, metal structures for racks and buildings of process of a plant termosolar of CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) tower for the Seville company ABENGOA technology. So ANRO will employ more than 1,600 tons of steel manufactured at its plant in Tomelloso.

ABENGOA has designed and is running this project, through its subsidiaries ABEINSA EPC and ABENGOA Chile, for a total estimated investment of 1,800 million dollars. The facility has a 250 meters high concrete tower and will allow power supply for 24 hours a day.

The plant is located in one of the largest mining areas in the world and with a growing energy needs. To cater to these plants taking advantage of the solar potential of the area ABENGOA has already prepared new phases of the Atacama project, but only with this first scheduled that are issued 64,000 tons less CO2 into the atmosphere.

The plant will have a capacity of 210 MW of which 110 MW correspond to the thermal power plant. 10,600 heliostats that reflect the Sun’s rays to the top of the Tower will be installed for the utilization of the sunlight. This field of mirrors will be extended by about 700 hectares.

ANRO also carry out Assembly in the location of the project, which is located in the Atacama desert, the driest in the world. So ANRO has hired some auxiliary services with leading Chilean companies.

To take advantage of the strength of the economy South America, and especially in the Chilean market, ANRO has completed the formalities for the opening of their new company in this country ANRO CHILE S.P.A. located in Santiago.
